Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra has responded to a critical tweet targeting the company’s car design, service quality and reliability, even comparing it with competitors like Hyundai. This comes after Mahindra launched its new electric vehicle range, the BE6e and XEV 9e.

The user said that Mahindra’s cars lack aesthetic appeal and reliability, describing some of the designs as “Cow dung (Dung) a little.”

“So far there has been only disappointment,” the post concluded.

Rather than dismiss or ignore the comment, Anand Mahindra responded with a screenshot of the now-deleted post, acknowledging that the company still has a long way to go, but reminding the critic to consider that How far Mahindra has come since the 1990s when experts advised the company to “exit the car business.”

He replied, “When I joined the company in 1991, the economy had just opened up.” “A global consulting firm strongly advised us to exit the car business because in their view we had no chance of competing with foreign brands entering it.
