On 1 April, a 20,000 tonnes of debris was reported, which spread to the lake.
The Central Oknagan Search and Rescue said that in the days after the slide, a person was reported to be missing, which was expected to run the Westside Road when the slide was done.

Search efforts included around 1,000 volunteer hours on land and water, including ground teams, drones, and marine units, including Vernon Search and Rescue, Cosar confirmed.

In the weekend, the submerged vehicle and missing driver were located at a depth of about 155 feet from the edge of the Madslide path.
RCMP has been called to recover the body and truck to the underwater recovery team.
