Singer and music composer Shekhar Ravijani of the Vishal-Shekhar duo lost his voice after the pandemic two years ago. She shared a long post on Monday evening, where she opened up about her diagnosis, resilience and treatment journey. He wrote a candid post and shared a carousel on Instagram. He began his post with, “Here’s something I’ve never talked about before…Feeled like sharing it today.
He further added, “I lost my voice two years ago. Left vocal cord paresis – this was Dr. Nupur Nerurkar’s expert diagnosis. I was devastated. To be honest, I was pessimistic… I thought I’ll never be able to sing again.”
He further revealed how this caused his family to worry about him, which increased his stress at that time. He found solace in prayer and did not stop working. “My family was worried. And, I was not happy to see them all stressed. I just prayed more. I didn’t stop working. Kept trying, kept trying. Meanwhile, I had to travel to San Diageo A few weeks later I met Jeremy in San Diageo,” read the next few slides.
But things changed when he met his “angel”. She connected me with an angel, Dr. Erin Walsh. Her left vocal cord was back to normal within a few weeks of her comeback full of determination, dedication and her positivity. Dr. Erin Walsh – who I couldn’t meet due to COVID. So, we did a Zoom call instead. I remember my tears started flowing uncontrollably when I told her that I wanted to be able to sing again. I begged them to please do something,” he commented.
In the next few slides, he shared how Dr. Erin Walsh helped him recover and set him on his healing journey. “The first thing he said to me was that I shouldn’t blame myself for what happened to my voice. We talked at length and he made me feel comfortable and finally, miraculously, he convinced me that I I can sing, which was the first time.” Steps,” the slides read.
But recovery was not an easy journey for him. He recalled how he hated his voice. “But every time I cried, I would cringe, and hate the sound of my voice… But, she was steadfast and kept working on my voice and soul. Her determination, dedication and her The positivity that paralyzed my left vocal cord came back to normal within a few weeks,” he adds.
He then assured his fans that he has recovered and is “absolutely fine now” and urged fans to always be positive in life and never lose hope. “I’m fine now. And can sing better than ever. Thank you, Dr. Erin Walsh, for being my angel on earth. Since then, I’ve met so many people who lost their voices after COVID There is a way. Just stay positive. There will be angels who will find you and heal you.”
