Russian President Vladimir Putin said the fall of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is not a “defeat” for Russia. Assad fled Moscow earlier this month after the Assad family’s half-century rule ended with a rebel attack. The Kremlin leader said he had yet to meet Assad in Moscow, but he planned to do so soon. The Russian president said he would ask Assad about American journalist Austin Tice, who disappeared in the country 12 years ago. Putin said Russia has suggested “humanitarian use” of its bases in Syria to the country’s new administration. 00:00 – Introduction 03:14 – ‘Israel is the main beneficiary of events taking place in Syria’05:05 – Turkey will not stop Syrian military activity until Kurdish fighters are disarmed’n18oc_world n18oc_crux
