Actor Rituparna Sengupta called Poila Baisakh/Pohela Boishkh a feeling as he reminds his childhood memories, and dedicates his film son to his mother.

As the Bengali community said with prayer and gratitude for the crop today in the new year-Poila Baisakh/Pohela Boshakh-actor-producer Rituparna Sengupta described it more than a “just one festival”. “Pohela Boshakh is a feeling for Bengalis,” she tells us and expands, “it marks a new beginning – new clothes, new food and hot exchange between new undertaking and community.”

Thinking about celebrating the festival as a child, Rituparna says, “We used to seek blessings from our elders and then worshiped. We used to wear new clothes and enjoy Hardik Bengali food. Of course, we are an integral part of sweet celebrations through which we create love and affection!”

The 53 -year -old, who lost her mother late last year, admits that she remembers her the most today. “I miss my mother a lot. Over the years, many of my films have released around this festival. This year, my film (archaeon, experienced actor Sharmila Tagore) has done so well that I feel that Mummy has blessed it.
