Diljit Dosanjh officially kicked off his much-awaited Dil-Luminati Tour in India and delighted fans with two unforgettable nights at a packed Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. In a touching video shared on Instagram, the Lover singer paid tribute to various Indian languages ​​including Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi, while making a special mention of his mother tongue Punjabi. After his inspiring remarks, Diljit launched the show with Main Hoon Punjab from the iconic film Amar Singh Chamkila.

The singer said, “When I was born, my mother spoke Punjabi. The first word I learned was Punjabi. In our country, there are many different languages ​​and I have a lot of respect for all of them, be it Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, everyone deserves a lot of respect. But because my mother speaks Punjabi, I also speak in Punjabi language.” Before starting the song, Main Hoon Punjab, Diljit shouted, “Punjabi Aage Dilli Oye,” which got the crowd excited.

Before bringing his Dil-Luminati Tour to India, Diljit Dosanjh traveled around the world. Although he usually keeps his personal life private, he made his Manchester, UK concert special when the singer introduced his mother and sister to the audience for the first time. Last month, Diljit Dosanjh’s manager Sonali Singh had revealed some interesting information about the Dil-Luminati tour tickets. In an interview with Connect Cine, he mentioned that some resellers were offering tickets at extremely high prices, up to $64,000 (approximately Rs 53 lakh) and $55,000 (approximately Rs 46 lakh). He clarified that these prices were not the original ticket cost but were set by people who buy tickets and then sell them at a higher price. Furthermore, Sonali made an eye-opening revelation claiming that Diljit’s North American tour generated revenue of around $28 million (approximately Rs 235 crore).
