Deportation flights: Trump officials may be held in criminal contempt

A US district judge has found probable cause to hold Trump administration officials in criminal contempt for defying court orders. These orders had blocked the deportation of alleged Venezuelan gang members under the Alien Enemies Act. Despite the judge’s mid-March ruling, the government proceeded with deportations to El Salvador, leading to political and legal backlash.
