Constitution Day is mere tokenism, says oppn, mounts attack on BJP

Opposition parties in Lok Sabha criticized PM Modi and BJP for allegedly undermining secularism by fostering fear among minorities. They highlighted attacks on communities and religious places, and the President’s omission of “secularism” and “socialism” from her parliamentary address. Concerns were also raised about the protection offered to governors under Article 361 and the BJP’s alleged aggressive form of Hinduism.
