For the full fiscal year 2024, ixigo’s Gross Transaction Value (GTV) surpassed INR 10,000 Cr, marking a 38% year-over-year (YoY) growth. This growth was also reflected in the fourth quarter of FY24, which saw a 34.9% YoY increase in GTV. Notably, the Flight GTV expanded by 75% for the full year and by 63.6% for the fourth quarter compared to the same period the previous year.
This initiative is part of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to make India the number one source market for tourism. The long-term goal is to welcome 7.5 million Indian travellers by 2030, positioning Saudi Arabia as a premier destination for Indian tourists. At a review meeting convened by Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu, it was also decided that a 24×7 war room will be set up for efficient management of passengers at T2 and T3. “The war room will ensure the full refund of cancelled flights or provide alternative travel route tickets,” an official statement said.
